East Kalimantan

East Kalimantan is a province located in the eastern part of Kalimantan Island in Indonesia. The province is bordered by North Kalimantan to the north, the Celebes Sea to the east, South Kalimantan to the south, and Central Kalimantan to the west. The capital city of East Kalimantan is Samarinda. Tourist attractions in East Kalimantan include the Kutai National Park, which is home to various endangered species, such as the orangutan, proboscis monkey, and sun bear, and the Derawan Islands, which offer excellent snorkeling and diving opportunities. The province also has several traditional markets and shopping centers, such as Pasar Pagi and Samarinda Central Plaza.
